I had the great pleasure of being a vendor at the Tartan Festival in Minden, Louisiana this past Saturday. It was windy but a wonderful day! Especially after the sun came out. If you have never had the pleasure of going to this event, find their group now and stay in touch for next year. You will enjoy it.
Lush green fields roll across the acreage. Cute little cows were on display for all the children, and adults to enjoy.
A dog show had a wide variety of dogs adorned in tartans. From small breed to large. Each as beautifully adorned as their owners in kilts and plaids.
Hay Rides, Face Painting, Hair braiding, vendors with all kinds of beautiful items. Blacksmiths and Flintknappers. Bagpipe players and belly dancers. Even a Bonniest Knee and Haggis Eating Competition.
And all the wonderful food that goes along with an event like this.
We all had a wonderful day. Came home with cheeks sunburnt and hurting from smiling so much. I truly hope to be there next year too!
